We will explore the nature wonders of North Bali known as Wanagiri Hill, Buyan and Tamblingan Lake with jungles surrounding it, riding canoe with locals then visit Ulan Danu Tamblingan temple on the Lake. This activity is perfect to get away from mainstream tourism spots. It’s probably one of the most beautiful place in Bali, and very rural compared to most tourist sites in the North that are not so easy reached without local.

What To Expect
Wanagiri Peak
Here is the location of our basecamp as starting point where you will get explanation for the trekking while having our local coffee/tea with balinese cake. Our basecamp located by the lake of Buyan and Tamblingan or known as twin lake Bali.

Buyan Lake
The trekking will be begin to explore Buyan lake with the guide. This lake considered 3rd biggest lake in Bali with spectacular view. On the way down to the lake you will find big old trees. Once you reach the lake then you will ride traditional canoe with the local fisherman. Canoeing for about 20 minutes passing along the lakeside overlooking stunning rock-wall in the pristine lake.

Tamblingan Lake
After canoeing to the west edge of the Buyan lake, you arrived in the forest that separated Buyan and Tamblingan Lake. Again in this forest you will walk in the jungle where you will find another Big Old Banyan Trees that you can climb, swing, and take photos.
One of the most interesting part here is the past civilization from 13th century for instance is pottery and lake temple. Ulun Danu Tamblingan Temple that found here is very important for Balinese that has strong relation to the local religion practice that applied up to know.

Trekking day will be ended at Banyumala Twin Waterfall for relaxing and swimming in the crystal clear fresh spring water.

We really had an amazing time doing trekking with those guys ! You will visit the jungle and the temples related to each lake (Buyan & Tembligan) during approximately 3/4 hours, before going on to the incredible twin falls of Wanagiri, really a little piece of heaven ! Finally, we ended the trip with an excellent lunch at our guides HQ, which is a small farm at the Wanagiri village (special mention to the locally grown coffee).
Really recommended if you want to dive into balinese culture, they will take the time to answer every question you might have ! You'll get by some places that you have to see if you happen to visit the Munduk locality.
We enjoyed a lot the activities and the sympathy of the people organizing it at Wanagiri adventure, money really well spent, thanks again guys !

My friend and I had a fabulous day. We were picked up on time and our guide for the day was Darma. He was fantastic and looked after us well. He was very informative and made sure we were safe on the hike. We had the most delicious lunch after with Kadek and his family. We thoroughly enjoyed this day and well worth every cent. Thank you to Darma and his team.

Our guide is Aguing.He has a very exprienced for hiking and he is a very nice guy.After trekking,we went to a local house have lunch.The lunch is the most delicious when we stayed in Bali.Better than any restaurants.

This was a lovely trip. Our driver Yassa was on time and took us to meet our guide Dharma. He provided his own grown coffee and sticky rice cakes, made by his wife, which we ate over looking the twin lakes. Then off we went for our walk through the forest. As we went Dharma pointed out plants along the way and told us about Balinese traditions with the religious offerings . Eventually we came to lake Tamblingan where there was more coffee and cake before we were rowed across the lake to the temple. From here we went to the waterfall, where you could cool off. Lunch was at a local homestead. The food was very good and we sat talking to the homestead owner, who was very interesting. We made a couple more stops along the way back. We were the only 2 people on the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour! Our awesome guide Darma taught us a lot about Balis culture and the nature, we had many laughs and tons of fun. The canoe ride was so peaceful and like nothing I have experienced in Bali. The meal made by the local family was so delicious after the jungle trek and waterfall. It was a perfect day that I will never forget. Thank you so much to Darma and the team for this amazing day, nature, kindness, food and coffee. :-)

My very First time visit Bali. Tried varies agents for different tours. Most of them have same issues of driver and guide is the same person and very unprofessional with very poor English, I thought that’s the Bali is, just have to take the bullets and never go back again.
At my very last day in Bali I found this agent and this particular tour, the guide speak very good English, very professional and friendly, driver is also very kind as well. The tour itself showed me the quiet side of North, did fabulous walk and also being offered extra adventurous of explore more in the natures and waterfall. Absolutely the best day I ever had in Bali.

This was one of the best days we’ve had in Bali! What an awesome tour company that supports locals. We started with a nice jungle hike. Then we were on canoes across Lake Tambligan. Our guide had coffee and cake for us as we canoed across. We then went to a waterfall and finally ended up at a local family’s house where we were fed a delicious lunch and local coffee. The best way to experience real Bali with locals! Dharma our guide was fabulous as well as Putu the driver. You should book with this company!
